Karen E. (Lirette) McNutt

Cadillac, Michigan - Karen Elizabeth McNutt, of Cadillac, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac surrounded by her family. She was 76.

Karen was born on September 4, 1941, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to John and Shirley (Wright) Lirette. She spent her career working as a secretary for Cadillac Wholesale. Karen liked to craft different projects, especially painting. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and was often found hunting for unique rocks. Karen was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cadillac. She cherished the time she spent with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her children, Diane (Dean) Hejnal, David (Deb) McNutt and Doug (Ann) McNutt; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Doug) Bredahl, Laura (Mark) Potter, Rachel (Jeremy) Vanderhyde, Zach (Sherilynn) McNutt, Nicole McNutt, Jeni McNutt, Emilie (Gabe) Marine, Beth McNutt and Andrea McNutt; 18 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Danny Lirette, Chris (Jim) Lehotsky, Lisa Lirette and Mary Lirette; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lirette and Shirley (Mick) McPherson; two sons, Dennis McNutt and Danny McNutt; one grandson, Brandon McNutt; and two brothers, Steve Lirette and Bill Lirette.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
