Karen J. (Whaley) Freese

Cadillac - Karen Jean (Whaley) Freese, of Cadillac and formerly of Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Munson Healthcare's Cadillac Hospital. She was only 48 years old.

She was born on September 6, 1970, in Norwich, Connecticut to Edward and Priscilla (Kneeland) Kiczuk. Karen grew up and attended school out east before making her way to Northern Michigan in 1990 to start a family.  She welcomed the addition of her three sons, Roger, Nathan, and Curtis. Karen worked at as a nurse's aide at the former Lakeview Manor.  She loved to be outdoors hunting for petoskey stones or taking in the views of nature the beauty to be had gazing upon waterfalls, lighthouses, or the lake shore.

Karen is survived by her three children, Roger, Nathan, and Curtis Whaley; her parents,  Edward Kiczuk and  Priscilla Kiczuk; one brother; two sisters; as well as many other loving family members and friends.  She was preceded in death her stillborn baby girl, Faith.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may directed to the family in care of Roger Whaley.
