Lawrence LeRoy Frank, Jr.

Lawrence LeRoy Frank, 77, of Houghton Lake passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at home.

Larry was born on January 21, 1942 in Swartz Creek, Michigan to Lawrence and Theresia (Birkenback) Frank. He grew up in Swartz Creek and Sand Lake,  graduating from High School in Tawas.  He then served in the U. S. Army. Larry worked for General Motors for many years, retiring in 1992. He was married to Barbara (Parsons) Frank and later to Grace (Youngs) Frank, both preceding Larry in death. He had a home in Houghton Lake for several years before moving permanently to Houghton Lake from Flint in 1990. Larry was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving Mr. Frank are his daughter, Janet (Randy) Winter of Flint; three grandchildren, Arthur, Alexander, and Aundreah; sister, Gloria Sinkler of Troy; three brothers, Robert Frank of Saginaw, Daniel Frank of North Branch, and Gary Frank of Battle Creek; many family members and friends. Lawrence was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Valentine. 

Funeral Services for Lawrence LeRoy Frank will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday March 18, 2019 from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 102 Myron Avenue, Houghton Lake with Branch President David Stephenson officiating. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Visitation will be held on Monday March 18, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Memorial contributions in memory of Larry are asked to be directed to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
