Lennis Orlo Park, age 77 of Tucker, Georgia, formerly of Pioneer Township, Missaukee County passed away on March 4, 2019.
Lennis was born June 18, 1941 in Pioneer Township to Orlo and Gladys (Helsel) Park.
He graduated from Lake City High School in 1961. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. He retired from the military and worked for the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. He retired from the State of Georgia where he was employed for the Georgia Student Finance Commission and Hope Scholarships. He traveled the world many times and lived in many states.
Lennis is survived by his three brothers Chris (Kay) Park, Peter (Jessie) Park and Raymond (Beverly) Park and five sisters: Linda (Roger) Phelps, Alma Goodrich, Ona (David) Booms, Cindy (Robert) Monhead and Penny (Rodney) Blair. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother in law Donald Goodrich, a sister in law Susie Park and a niece Amanda Park.
A military graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 18, 2019 at the Pioneer Township Cemetery with the Lake City American Legion Post 300 conducting Military Honors. A luncheon will follow the service at the Pioneer Township Hall.
