Marjorie Beth (Longstreet) Tossey

Cadillac, Michigan - Marjorie Beth Tossey, of Cadillac passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was 83.

Marjorie was born on October 22, 1934, in Manton, Michigan to Harry and Ruth (Jenkins) Longstreet. On May 1st, 1954, Marjorie, entered into marriage with James Odell Tossey. The couple spent 54 years together until his time of passing in 2008. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flower gardens. In her spare time, Marjorie liked to paint. Family was very important to both her and Jim and they took great pride in creating crafts for their friends and loved ones. She spent her career working as a presser at Laurent's Dry Cleaners in Cadillac for many years.

Marjorie is survived by her two sons, Mark (Kathy) Tossey of Cadillac and Mike (Leona) Tossey of Cadillac; four grandchildren, Tracy (Greg) Wingard, Joshua Tossey, Jenny Tossey and Glen (Amy) Tossey; five great-grandchildren, Hadley, Hailey, Taylor, Cameron and Aleena; one sister, Rubedene Hill of Cadillac; her best friend, Lois Hagberg; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Harry and Ruth; one son, Gary Tossey; seven brothers, George, Earl, Glen, “Jock”, Hal, Hugh and Paul; sisters, Maxine, and Rose Marie in infancy.

In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place and her place of final rest will be Fairview Cemetery in Manton. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
