Traverse City - Mark Levi Hunter, of Mesick and formerly of Cadillac, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Munson Medical Center, as a result of injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident. He was only 21 years of age.
Mark was born on March 31, 1997, in Cadillac and was a graduate of Cooley High School. He could often be found spending time around the campfire or video gaming with friends and family. Mark was very close with his cousins and created many memories while visiting "Cow Camp" near Marion. His sense of humor was infectious to all those around him and he would always take the opportunity to poke fun or tease his niece and nephews. He will be deeply missed.
Mark is survived by his mother, Vickie (Duane) Williams of Cadillac; sisters, Carol (Craig) Ball; Sapphire (Carter Coby) Williams; his great-grandmother, Elizabeth Munson; grandmother, Caroline Welch; aunts and uncles, Betty (Dave) Stanley, Ann (Tim) Coffel, and Frank Welch; his beloved nephews and niece, with another expected soon; special friend, Renee Eastman; his cousins, of whom he was very close to; his best friend and companion, his dog "Po"; as well as many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Backus; grandmother, Janice Cartier; and great-grandfather, Hershel Munson.
Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home, with visitation on hour prior.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of his mother, Vickie.
