Mary Lou Meyers Obituary

Mary Lou Meyers, 75, of Houghton Lake passed away on Monday June 11, 2018 at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Mary Lou was born on June 29, 1942 in Springfield, Missouri to Jess and Sue Brazil. She grew up in the Willow Run area where she graduated from Willow Run High School. Mary Lou was married on December 9, 1967 in Cheboygan to William George Meyers. She was a homemaker, mother of two children and loved spending time with her six grandchildren. Mary Lou was an avid reader and enjoyed snowmobiling in her younger years. She was very active in her gardening and tending to her birds that would visit her garden. 

Surviving Mrs. Meyers are her loving husband of 50 years, William George Meyers of Houghton Lake; daughter, Christine (Myrlin) Wrege of Roscommon; son, Scott Meyers of Taylor; six grandchildren, Allie, Asia, Isaac, Keegan, Shane, and Konner. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathy Duncan. 

Private Family Celebration of Life Services for Mary Lou  Meyers will be conducted at the family home. Memorial contributions in memory of Mary Lou are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
