Cadillac - Michael Anthony Dinnan, of Cadillac and formerly of Manton, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his home in Cadillac surrounded by family. He was 65.
Michael was born on October 8, 1953 to James Clarence and Marion (Walworth) Dinnan in Flint. He grew up and attended school in the Davidson area before entering into the United States Army and proudly serving the country. In earlier years he trained and fought in the golden gloves and in 1975 even made his way into a heavy-weight finals match. Mike moved to northern Michigan in the late 70's and eventually made home in Manton where he served as a Deacon for the Manton Baptist Church and as part of the Manton Fire and Rescue.
Mike is survived by his children, Brian (Fran) Dinnan, Jennifer Haycraft and Amy (Pete) Whitehurst; five grandchildren, Tyler Haycraft, Breanna (Aaron) Larr, Ashley Whitehurst, Kayla Bartoz and Dale Bartoz; great-granddaughter, Lillian Larr; several siblings; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Joe and nephew, Larry.
Funeral services will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Hall-Holdship Funeral Home in Manton, with visitation one hour prior. Officiating will be the Rev. Dan Hemmes.
