Nancy Lee Bowser

Nancy Lee Bowser, age 82 of Lake City passed away, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Orchard Creek Health Center in Traverse City.

Nancy was born April 3, 1936 in St. Clair Township of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to William and Hazel (McCowan) Shannon.

She married John Grant Bowser on June 29, 1956 in New Florence, Pennsylvania. John preceded her in death in 2008.

Nancy was a very loyal member of the Lake City Senior Citizens Center and loved to bake, play cards and Bingo.  She enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors.

She is survived by her children: John Bowser of Davisburg, Shari (Amador) Valdez of Lake City and Terri (Ben) Locher of Waterford, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, a son Rick, four grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018    at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Mical Pugh officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at the Lake City Cemetery
