Nancy Sue (Woodbeck) Centers

Nancy Sue Centers, 81, of  Roscommon passed away on Saturday December 7, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side.

Nancy was born on February 8, 1938 in Oxford, Michigan to William and Isabelle (McCafferty) Woodbeck. She grew up in the Pontiac and Lake Orion area where she graduated from Utica High School and attended Macomb Community College.  On June 23, 1956 in Oxford, Nancy was married to Robert Frederick Centers. Nancy worked as a receptionist for Dental Office's for many years.  In her younger days she was an avid roller skater and water skier.  Nancy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word searches, and coloring. She loved spending time tending to her flower gardens, but her special love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs.Centers are her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Frederick Centers of Roscommon; son, Michael (Margaret) Centers of Sterling Heights; two daughters, Patti Vogel of Harrison Township, and Kimberly (Marcel) Santiz of Saline; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Bays of Lake Orion, Mona Larson of Sandusky, and Rose Rubine of FL; brother, Kenneth Woodbeck of Lake Orion; several nieces and nephews.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert A. Centers; sister, Susan Goekle; and two brothers, Butch Woodbeck, and Jim Woodbeck. 

Funeral services for Nancy Sue Centers will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday December 12, 2019 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday December 12, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel.  Memorial contributions in memory of Nancy are asked to be directed to St. Jude Children Hospitals or Munson Hospice.
