Patricia E. Mills

Patricia E. Mills, 57, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Monday September 10, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw.

Patricia was born on August 17, 1961 to Joseph and Helen Mills of New York City, NY; shortly thereafter the family moved to the Detroit area for a short time before settling into Houghton Lake in 1971. Patricia graduated from Houghton Lake High School and then attended  Kirtland Community College. She was a person who loved to help people in any way she could and she loved her work as a caregiver to children and the elderly. While Patricia did not have children, she loved her “ Fur” Babies, Fishing, and hanging out with her friends playing cards and games. She also loved to sing and dance and having family visits.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Joseph (Mary) Mills.

Surviving Ms. Mills are her brother, Robert (Sandy) Mills of New York City, NY; niece, Lisa Behrens (Gregory) of Clarkston; three nephews, Christian Mills (Samantha) of Lake Orion; David (Kelli) Mills  of Wilton, CT; Brian (Lauren) Mills of Rockville Centre NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1 pm and a Celebration of Life Service for Patricia E. Mills will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Lay Minister Sue Lazell officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery in Houghton Lake immediately following her service. 

Memorial contributions in memory of Patricia are asked to be directed to Brain & Behavior Research Foundation - Bi-Polar Disorder or  Missaukee Humane Society in Lake City, MI .
