Patricia (Durham) Nelson

McBain, Michigan - Patricia Nelson, of Cadillac passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Autumnwood of McBain. She was 84.

Patricia was born on September 7, 1933, in Dearborn, Michigan to Charles and Phyllis (Smith) Durham. She entered into marriage on January 12, 1949 with Theodore Nelson in Cadillac, Michigan. The couple spent 57 years together, until his time of passing in September of 2006. Patricia like to cook homemade meals. She cherished the time she spent with her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to church and more recently attended the Northern Lights Church of Cadillac. Upon attending Autumnwood, Patricia liked to go and play Bingo with some of her friends from the nursing home.

Patricia is survived by her seven children, Doris (Terry) Harvey, Theodore (Tena) Nelson Jr., Patrick "Doug" (Cheri) Nelson, Doyle (Marge) Nelson, Jamie (Allan) Coffell, Daniel (Rhonda) Nelson and Theresa Nelson; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Durham; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; her parents, Charles and Phyllis; one brother, Doug Durham; one sister, Doris Alma Parker; and a great-grandson, Zachary Henry.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 12 noon with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Dunn. Interment will take place at Cherry Grove Cemetery.
