Robert Edward Lee, Jr.

Robert Edward Lee, Jr., 65, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Monday September 23, 2019 at his home.

Robert was born on January 28, 1954 in Taylor, Michigan to Robert and Lois (Blue) Lee, Sr.  He grew up in the Dansville area where he graduated from Dansville High School. Robert spent several years in Florida where he worked in appliance delivery, with his own business, and working for Sears and G.E.  In Palm Beach Gardens, Florida Robert met Sandra Rotroff , and they married in 2009. The couple moved back to Dansville in 2009 and then to Houghton Lake in 2015 to the Lee family home, which Robert work on remodeling.  He enjoyed driving through Dead Stream Swamp collecting berries and mushrooms, and getting stuck several times, just like he had done in earlier years when the family had tree farms in the Moorestown area. But his special love was staying home with his daughter, Lilyann, enjoying his large garden, the outdoors, and taking care of the homestead.

Surviving Mr. Lee are his loving wife, Sandra  Lee of Houghton Lake; loving daughter, Lilyann Blue Lee of Houghton Lake; two step sons, William Parrish of Jackson, and David Rowe of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Sherill (Leslie) Tomlin of IN.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.  

A Celebration of Life Open House For Lilyann's Dad will be held at the family home, 106 Cherry Street, Houghton Lake from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday September 29. 2019. A service will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Youth Ministers Andrew and Charity Thompson officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Robert are asked to be directed to Houghton Lake Community Schools Mrs. Schultz's fifth grade class.
