Robert Paul Lucus I.

Robert Paul Lucus I., age 50, of Houghton Lake passed away on Monday June 11, 2018 at home.

Robert was born on April 8, 1968 in Flint, Michigan to Robert and Kathleen (Baldwin) Lucus. He grew up in the Whitimore-Prescott area before moving to Houghton Lake in 1983.  He graduated from Houghton Lake High School. Robert was the owner/operator of Lucus Transportation. He was married on April 10, 2010 in Houghton Lake to Heather N. Dowland. Robert enjoyed golfing, and wildlife, especially the beaver dams.

Robert is survived by his loving wife; Heather Lucus of Houghton Lake, sons; Robert P. Lucus II of Ohio and Adam D. Lucus of Houghton Lake, daughter; Ashlee J. Lucus of Houghton Lake; father; Robert Lucus of Atlanta and mother; Kathleen Lucus of Roscommon, sisters; Kimberly Lucus of Flint and Dawn Lester of West Branch, brother; Brian Lucus of Alpena, several nieces and nephews and mother-in-law; Jane Dowland of Houghton Lake.   

Memorial Services for Robert Paul Lucus I. will be conducted on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 1 pm at Christler Funeral Home- Houghton Lake Chapel. The family will greet friends from 12 pm until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions in memory of Robert are asked to be directed to the family.
