Ruth Elaine (Sessions) Pulaskey

Tustin, Michigan - Ruth Elaine Pulaskey, of Tustin passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her home with family by her side. She was 86.

Ruth was born on November 3, 1931, in Northville, Michigan to Harry D. and Myra Beatrice (Thompson) Sessions. She entered into marriage with Leonard A. Pulaskey on September 2, 1950 in Brighton, Michigan. The couple spent 25 years together until his time of passing on October 3, 1975. Ruth enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden planting flowers and vegetables. She had a passion for all types of music, but was most fond of Elvis Presley. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed reading all sorts of books. She was a loving grandmother and all of her grandchildren will cherish their special memories of their time spent at her house while she babysat them. Ruth was a faithful member of both St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Luther and served in the alter society at church. She also attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Marion on occasion. She loved her two special companions, dog, Macy and guinea pig, Jorgie.

Ruth is survived by her six children, Patricia Daniels of Plymouth, MI, Alice Elya of McBain, Kathy (John) Obernesser of PA, Terri (Michael) Frost of Garden City, MI, Elaine (Ernest) Ruppert of LeRoy and Lenny Pulaskey of Tustin; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Jane Taylor of OR; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a son-in-law, Norm Elya.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home in Cadillac. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Luther. Officiating will be Rev. Ronald Schneider. Interment will take place at Ellsworth Cemetery in the spring.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army or Munson Hospice.
