Cadillac - Ryan Lee "Ruben" Bos, of Cadillac and formerly of Florida, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. He was only 42.
Ryan was born on December 29, 1975, in Cadillac, Michigan, to loving parents, Barry and Karen (Soles) Bos. At a young age the family relocated to Florida where Ryan was raised before eventually returning to Northern Michigan and becoming a graduate of Cadillac High School in 1994. Ryan spent many years working at Nixon Carpet & Lumber, a brief time with Cadillac Industrial Supply, and eventually began working with NAPA Auto Parts in both Cadillac and Lake City.
Ryan, or "Ruben" as many friends and former classmates knew him, had a good sense of humor and enjoyed joking around. He seemed to get an extra sense of pleasure from teasing his sister, Kristin, or giving her a hard time, as only a brother could. Ryan loved his family, including his beloved dog Rosco. He also enjoyed showing off his Dad's antique cars at the local car shows. Ryan was a loving, wonderful person and will be remembered fondly and missed by many.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Barry and Karen Bos of Cadillac; his sister, Kristin Bos (Jason Ray) and her two children, Kaley and Braeden; half sister Erica; his grandmothers, Edith Soles and Gladys Bos; as well as numerous extended family members, co-workers, and friends.
Funeral services will take place at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home, on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Brian D. Farmer. A private interment will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
Memorials may be made to the Wexford Missaukee Suicide Prevention Coalition.
The family is being served by the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.
