Shari Lee Valdez

Shari Lee Valdez, age 59, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Shari was born on December 7, 1959 in Fresno, California to John Grant and Nancy Lee (Shannon) Bowser. Shari loved the outdoors, fishing and camping.  She enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids and her daughter April.  She was a nurse in Oakland County for 20 years and enjoyed listening to Mexican music.

She is survived by her spouse, Amador Valdez Jr. of Lake City; a daughter April Marie Valdez and fiancé, Jose Juan Guillen Garcia of Waterford; two grandchildren, Angel and Gabriel Andre Valdez; sister, Terri (Ben) Locher of Waterford; three nieces and a nephew.

Shari was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rick Bowser; son, Juan Jose Valdez Jr.; and a daughter,  Andra Alicia Valdez.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Mical Pugh officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
