Thomas Francis Tucker

Thomas Francis Tucker, 77, of Houghton Lake passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital.

Thomas was born on January 21, 1941 in Ashland, Kentucky to Frank M. and Nervella M. (Carrico) Tucker. He grew up in Ashland and graduated from Holy Family High School of Ashland. Thomas attended the University of Kentucky before becoming involved in auto body repair work. He became well known for his expert body work. Thomas was married on September 12, 1975 in Flint, MI to Barbara Lee Hayward. The couple moved to Houghton Lake from Flint 13 years ago. They spent all their time together. Tom even was Barb's assistant in the kitchen at the Senior Center where Barb was the cook. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his loving wife of over 42 years, Barbara.  Tom was a very proud father of his seven children.  He told everyone that he met that he had seven of the best children he could ask for.

Surviving Mr. Tucker are his wife, Barbara Tucker of Houghton Lake; five sons, Thomas Francis (Janice) Tucker II of FL, James (Dana) Tucker of KY, Michael (Jaime) Tucker of Jackson, Brian (Jennifer) Tucker of Corunna, and Anthony (Krystal) Tucker of Mt. Morris; two daughters, Teresa (Rory) Williamson of FL, and Tamala (James) Bothwell of MA; 17 grandchildren, Thomas F. Tucker III, Kyle Tucker, Eric Tucker, Jayden Tucker, Dylan Tucker,  Angelina Williamson, Aaron Williamson, Tucker Bothwell, Samuel Bothwell, Tara McGaw, Darren Mahon, James Mahon, Bristol Tucker, Mclain Tucker, Andrew Tucker, David Tucker, and Vance Tucker; two great granddaughters, Khaleesi McGaw, and Gemma Mahon; two sisters, Janet (Dale) Hunt of KY, and Judy (Dr. Maury) Oakley of KY; several nieces and nephews.  Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lawrence, and son, David. 

Celebration of Life services for Thomas F. Tucker will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Thomas are asked to be directed to the family.
