Troy George Nieman

Troy George  Nieman, 56, of  Prudenville passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at home with loving family by his side.

Troy was born on October 12, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Ethel (Gruber) Nieman. He grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from Cherry Hill High School.  Troy and his family moved to the Houghton Lake area in 1974. Although Troy struggled with Cerebral Palsy all his life, he was always busy, and enjoyed to work at Walmart in Houghton Lake.  He always had a great outlook on life and loved spending time with family and especially his dogs, Rocky, Krinkles, and Kong.

Surviving Mr. Nieman are his mother; Ethel Nieman of Prudenville; two sisters, Mary Lang of Prudenville, and Cindy (Steve Sheldon) Miller of Prudenville; brother, William(Nancy) Nieman of Prudenville;  several nieces and nephews.  Troy was preceded in death by his father, William Frederick Nieman. 

Private Family Services for Troy George  Nieman will be conducted at the Denton Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in memory of Troy are asked to be directed to the family or United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan, 1325 S.
