Viola M. Creger of Falmouth, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at The Brook of Houghton Lake. She was 101 years old.
Viola was born in Falmouth on July 10, 1917 to Frank and Anabelle (Jones) Marsh. She was united in marriage to Frank A. Creger on April 17, 1943 in Battle Creek. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1998. Viola was a devoted grandmother and cared and looked after her grandchildren. She enjoyed the time spent on Evans Lake. Viola was a member of the Merritt Butterfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons: Frank R. Creger of Merritt and Thomas (Judy) Creger of Tipton, grandchildren: Robyn, Holly, Andrew, William and Brandon, eighteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Bonnie Davis of Merritt and many nieces and nephews.
Viola was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lyle, and two sisters, Maxine and Beverly, a daughter in law, Sharon Creger and a great granddaughter, Ashley.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Josh Henderson officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
