Cadillac, Michigan - Vivian Marguerite "Marg" Walworth, of Cadillac passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her four children. She was 88.

Marg was born on June 3, 1929, in Putnam County, Ohio to Francis and Grace Michael. She was a 1947 graduate of Jonesville High School in Jonesville, Michigan. On June 5, 1948, she married her high school sweetheart, Lynn Walworth. The Walworth’s built a home in Jonesville, Michigan where they resided for the next 20 years raising their four children. In 1969, the family relocated to Cadillac, Michigan becoming the proud owners of Mar-Lyn’s Lakeside Resort on Lake Cadillac. Retiring in 1996 with the sale of the resort, they spent their remaining years in Cadillac. She was known as Marg, “Mike”, Margie, Marge, Vivian, Aunt Marg, Mom, Nana, and Grandma. Marg will be remembered for her hospitality and her passion to cook; no one ever left her table hungry! She was strong and independent, living on her own until close to her death. Trusting in the saving grace of Jesus Christ, Marg believed in prayer. She had a strong faith in God that was instilled in her children. Her children were raised with unconditional love, a strong work ethic, and many wonderful memories. She found great delight in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marg was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and three sisters.

Marg is survived by her son, Craig Walworth of Cadillac, Michigan; daughter, Lori Hays (Tom) of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter, Lisa Walworth of Irons, Michigan; and daughter, Leslie Russell (Craig) of Fennville, Michigan. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 3 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Cadillac Hospice.
