Wesley L. Kreis, age 70, of Prudenville passed away on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Wesley was born on April 27, 1948 in Highland Park, Michigan to Wesley and Irene (Rudolph) Kreis. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Wesley retired from Ford Motor Company before moving to Prudenville 14 years ago from Detroit. He was married on August 27, 2005 in Prudenville, to Carolin Diane Sellers. Wesley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prudenville, Houghton Lake Eagles and the American Legion. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and playing golf.
Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Diane Kreis of Prudenville, son; Brian (Carrie) Kreis of Ray, grandsons; Weston and Waylon, step-children; Carrie (Vee) Cox of Swartz Creek, Johnny Rose of Wayland, Eric Rose of Lapeer and Kenny Kotarski of Flint, six step-granddaughters; Brittany, Madison, Casandra, Caitlin, Heather and Elaina and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jeffrey.
Memorial Services for Wesley L. Kreis will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Prudenville on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 1 pm with Rev. Douglas Stockwell officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday April 27, 2019 from 12 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Wesley are asked to be directed to the American Cancer Society. Christler Funeral Home- Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
