Wilma Boik-Milbert Obituary

Traverse City, Michigan - Wilma Irene (Fewless) Boik- Milbert, of Interlochen and formerly of Marion, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 83.


Wilma was born on October 3, 1934, in Tustin, Michigan to Kirby and Edna Leora (Campain) Fewless. She entered into marriage with Milton Boik on January 16, 1965 in Taylor, Michigan. The couple spent over 35 years together until his time of passing on March 19, 2001. Wilma was a proud matriarch of her family, she had a caring heart and would help anyone in need. After raising her family, she spent her career working for Wal-Mart as a photo tech for many years. She later entered into marriage with Richard Milbert on July 10, 2004 in Interlochen, Michigan. She enjoyed traveling around, especially in the motor home, where her and Richard had many special trips. In her spare time she liked to go bowling or golfing with family and friends. Wilma cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and they meant the world to her.


Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Richard Milbert; two children Paula (Bill) Hagen and Scott Boik; three step-children, Michael Milbert, Gwen Elaine Epps and Susan (Carl) McBride; grandchildren, Mandie VanBuren, Eric (Sara) Dawson, Brooke Hagen, Elizabeth Boik and Allison Hagen; great-grandchildren, Gabriel VanBuren and twins, Sophia and Olivia VanBuren; and many other loving family members and friends.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton; her parents, Kirby and Edna; grandson, Craig VanBuren; and siblings, Viola, Dora, Lester and Merle.


A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 12 noon with visitation held one hour prior and a time for family at 10 a.m. at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Nihiser. Interment will take place at Sherman Township Cemetery in Tustin at a later date.


According to Wilma's wishes, the family ask that anyone who attends to please wear red.
