Manton, Michigan - Zelma Marie Shepardson, of Manton passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at her home with family by her side. She was 88.

Zelma was born on March 15, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio to Reuben and Minnie (Knavel) Pollard. She entered into marriage with William H. Shepardson March 15, 1947, in Toledo, OH. The couple spent 62 years together until his time of passing on April 20, 2009. Zelma was a faithful member of the Jennings Community Church where she cooked many dishes for church events. She enjoyed spending time knitting and crocheting. Zelma loved to cook and was always making something whether it was for potlucks, church events, family reunions or for her and her family. She cherished the time she spent with her family and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Zelma is survived by her children, Billing Shepardson, Linda Yost, Susan (Ken) Farley, Florence Goodrow, Albert (Inge) Shepardson and James Shepardson; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; a grandson, Henry Shepardson; and a brother, Lester Pollard.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hall-Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 12 p.m. with visitation held two hours prior at Jennings Community Church. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Shetenhelm. Interment will take place at Haring Township Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shepardson family, in care of her son, Albert Shepardson.
