Albert Williams Sr. Obituary

Marion - Albert Bernard Williams Sr., of Clare, formerly of Marion, passed away on November 12, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was 85 years old.

Albert was born on January 24, 1938, in Saginaw, Michigan to Gilbert and Grace (Fowler) Williams. At a young age, Albert’s family relocated to the Marion area where he attended school and later built his own family. Al was fortunate to have two great loves during his lifetime. On August 30, 1958, Albert entered into marriage to Patricia Rae McClure. They created a large and loving family during this time together. After 20 years of marriage, they divorced in 1978. In 1980, Al was married to Kathryn Kay Turner. They had 21 loving years of marriage before Kay preceded him in death on March 22, 2001.  After 34 years apart, Al and Patricia Rae McClure found their way back to each other and reunited in 2013 until his passing.

Al made his living working for the Osceola County Road Commission for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time watching western films, scrolling Facebook, and he was quite the jokester. Al spent his winters in Florida, rather than freezing in Michigan, where he and Patricia hopped flea markets, made daily Walmart visits, and dined at many buffets. When Al was home in Michigan for the warmer months, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, helping his sons with their hobby farms, drinking good coffee, making daily Walmart visits. Al liked to be on the move and would willingly be a travel buddy for just about any road trip. Al will be remembered for his friendly and kind demeanor, and great sense of humor, giving his family a good laugh until the end.

Albert is survived by one of the great loves of life, Patricia Rae Brown of Clare, his children Debra (Daniel Owen) Belshaw of Saginaw, Kimberly (Romero) Robayna of Tampa FL., Judy Forbes of Davenport, FL., Albert (Jeanna) Williams II of Sears, Steven (Robin) Williams of Mill Run, PA., James “Jim” (Debra) Williams of Hersey, and bonus daughter Angela (Chad) Campbell of Clare; three step daughters Laura (Thomas) Ault of Cadillac, Lynna Eising of Marion, Lisa Sembach of Marion, twenty-two grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one brother Gilbert Williams of Lansing, as well as many other loving family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Kay Turner, parents (Gilbert, Grace, and Isabel), his siblings Robert Williams, Floyd Williams, and Alice Rieger, and his son-in-law, Ruben Forbes.
