Alice Jean Mandley, age 82, of Prudenville passed away on Tuesday April 1, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Alice was born on April 21, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Louis and Jeanette (Imbo) DeMilner. She graduated from Dominican High School in Detroit. Alice worked as a Real Estate Broker and later as a Title Insurance Agent before retiring. She met George Mandley on a blind date and six months later the couple married on December 29, 1967 in Detroit. Alice was a charter member of Houghton Lake Lioness Club, she was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. She served as treasurer of the Houghton Lake Cooperative Nursery in the 1970's. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
Alice is survived by her loving husband of 57 years; George Mandley, son; Rev. Jason Mandley, sister; Joann Landreth, sister-in-law; Christine (Joe) Giannone, nieces & nephews; Ann, Kate, Mark, Amber, Robert, Carrie, Kelly, Becky, Tom and Jennifer, cherished friends; Bettie Guldner and Vicki Brunt. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law; Larry Landreth.
Funeral Services for Alice Jean Mandley will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday April 7, 2025 from St. John Lutheran Church-Hillman located at 22000 County Road 452, Hillman, Michigan 49746 with Rev. Glen Bromm officiating. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday April 7, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at St. John Lutheran Church-Hillman.
