Alice Marie Straw

Alice M. Straw, age 89 of Lake City, passed away on January 18, 2026 at the Whispering Pines Living Center.

Alice was born May 20, 1936 in Lake City to Willard and Doris (Wagner) Mosher.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Straw in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 2008.

Alice enjoyed playing cards at the Lake City Senior Citizens Center and going to the casino. She spent time watching the birds and enjoyed the out of doors.

She is survived by her three brothers, all of Lake City; Melvin “Bill” (Jackie) Mosher, Milford “Gene” (Jeannie) Mosher and Willard “Dean” Mosher and a niece, Cora (Leon) Powell of McBain and several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, and step father, Orin Brown, her husband, Eugene Straw and two sisters, Bonnie Adams and Lois Barker.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
