Allan C. Stephens

Allan C. Stephens, age 89 of Lake City passed away on August 1, 2022 at home.

He was born November 26, 1932 in Alger, Michigan to Claude and Olive (Denman) Stephens.

On September 26, 1953 Allan was united in marriage to Dorothy Ruth Kortuem and she preceded him in death June 16, 2022.

Allan served in the US Air Force between 1952 – 1956 and was employed with General Motors, Fisher Body Plant for thirty six years. His passion and hobby as a private airplane pilot was a highlight in his life. He kept busy gardening and worked  on automobiles. Allan was a general tinkerman, enjoyed riding motorcycles and his nature was that of a very humorous character. He loved the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Allan is survived by his children: Deborah (Craig) Campbell of Lake City, Karen (Mike) Hoffman of Grand Blanc, Thomas (Crystal) Stephens of Davison and Teresa (Mark) Baldwin of Manton and many grandchildren and great grand children. He is also survived by two brothers: Ronald (Carol) Stephens of White Lake and Doug Stephens of Swartz Creek and a sister, Sheila (Duane) Regal of Alabama.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister in law Ellen Stephens.

Funeral services will take place at Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., with his son in law, Mark Baldwin officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Burial will take place in the Reeder Township Cemetery with military honors provided by the Lake City American Legion Post 300.
