Barbara (Marion) Duddles

Barbara (Marion) Duddles, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 25, 2025 at the age of 86.

Born in Belleville, Michigan on February 27, 1938 to Richard and Harriet Whichello, she will be remembered for her love of family, friends, children, sunflowers and chasing beautiful sunsets.

She relocated with her family to Lake City in 1973 where she graciously served her community through her work with the City of Lake City, the Chamber of Commerce, the Lake City School District and as a local business owner. She lived out her faith by teaching Sunday school and other service as a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her biological children, Rick (Beth) Marion, Jennifer Peer, and Jeff (Laura) Marion; children by marriage, Anne (Al) Lake, Bill (Mary) Duddles, Ed (Al) Duddles, and Don (Lori) Duddles She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Judy) Whichello, Harlan (Sharon) Whichello and Bill (Sandy) Whichello and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents; husband, Tom Duddles; infant son, William Marion; daughter, Gwen Marion; step-son George Duddles and her children’s father, Richard Marion.

A memorial service will be held  at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Lake City United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Noggle officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lake City Cemetery.
