Barbara J. Mancevich

Barbara J. Mancevich, age 89 of Moorestown, passed away October 20, 2023 at home with family.

Barbara was born March 3, 1934 in Huron, New York to Edmond and Alice (Schmidt)  Teeple.  She was united in marriage to Anthony  “Tony”  Mancevich on August 14, 1952 in Port Huron, Michigan. Tony preceded her in death December 5, 2019.

They moved to the Moorestown area in 1984 where Barbara became very active in the community.  She was involved in the Stittsville United Methodist Chuch and their food pantry.  Barb was an avid quilter and as an artist enjoyed painting.  She was a member of the Sunshine Club and also of the Moorestown Stittsville United Methodist Church. She  enjoyed gardening and flowers and her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Julie Mancevich of Wolverine and son, John (Cheryl) Mancevich of Lum, three grandchildren, Nathan (Kristin), David and Melissa and four great grandchildren, Brianna, Ivy, Ava and Ace and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Frank and Eugene and two sisters, Betty and Alice.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Chaplain David Keller officiating.  Visitation will begin 12:00 noon until service time.

Burial will take place in the Stittsville Cemetery.
