Obituary

Barbara “Bobbie” L. Summey, age 76 of Lake City, passed away September 15, 2023 at Autumnwood of McBain.

Barbara was born February 3, 1947 in Gladwin to John and Erma (VanHorn) Maxwell.

She was united in marriage to Melvin R. Summey June 17, 1988. He preceded her in death in 2017.

Bobbie enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking and spending time together with her grandchildren and family get togethers. She loved watching football, especially the Lions and hosting Super Bowl parties.

She was a member of the Lake City Eagles Lodge 3884 and the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City.

Barbara is survived by her children: Valerie (Harold) Marsh of Lansing, Rodney (Stephanie) Park of Lake City, Angela (Timothy) Cargill and Shawn Park both of Manton, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, James (Sandy) Maxwell and sisters: Jean Tracy, Jackie Musselman and Sandy (Phillip) Stark and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters: Joanne Chaffee and Geraldine Ervans.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimers Association or the Missaukee Humane Society.
