Barry Lynn Buffey

Barry Lynn Buffey, 54, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Monday October 11, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side.

Barry was born on September 10, 1967 in Flint, Michigan to Gary and Diana (Hendricks) Buffey.  He grew up in the Flint area where he received his GED from Flint Area Schools. Barry moved to the Houghton Lake area from Flint thirteen years ago.  He has worked for Lear Corporation in Roscommon since moving to Houghton Lake. Barry was married on October 7, 2021 in Houghton Lake to Lisa Ann  Hickey.   He was a member of the Union Local at Lear Corp. Barry enjoyed the outdoors and camping.  HIs passion was working on cars and restoring them.

Surviving Mr. Buffey are his loving wife, Lisa Ann Hickey of Houghton Lake; daughter, Diana Lynn Buffey of Flint; son, Leroy James Buffey of Flint; step daughter, Jennifer Lyn Baker of Houghton Lake; step son, Nathan Baker of FL; three step grandchildren, Noah, Connor, and Mikala; three sisters, Heather Buffey of Flint, Desiree Buffey of OH, and Melissa Buffey of FL.  Barry  was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lynn Buffey. 

The family of Barry Lynn Buffey will conduct a Celebration of Life Gathering at the family home at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Barry are asked to be directed to the family.
