Barry Lee Snyder

Barry Lee Snyder, age 76 of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital.

Barry was born January 5, 1942 in Aetna Township of Missaukee to Otis and Laurel (Whipple) Snyder.

He married Linda Gray on October 15, 1977

He graduated from Merritt High School and began working at General Motors in Pontiac as a crane operator and after 34 years he retired.  Barry loved time and his old pocket watches and antique clocks. He also enjoyed country music, car shows and his Pontiac Catalina. He loved to eat dessert before meals and was a very kind person and never knew how to say “no” to anyone.

He is survived by his daughters Melody (Cory) Wheeler of Lake City and Tonya (Clinton) Neve of Cedar Springs, three grandchildren: Thomas Eason, Riley Snyder and Camden Wheeler and a sister Lorraine Simpson of Lake City and his former wife Linda Gray of Traverse City.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Raphael and a brother Rollin.

Funeral services for Barry will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Young –Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Martin Nieman officiating.  A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of service.

Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
