Bonnie Louise Miller, age 65 of Lake City, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She is rejoicing with Jesus.
Bonnie was born February 14, 1956 in Cadillac, Michigan to Jack and Loretta (Hoekzema) Miller.
Bonnie was a 1974 graduate of Lake City Area Schools. She received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing in 1978 from Lake Superior State College. She received her certificate of Post Graduate Program in Cardiovascular Nursing from Stanford University on December 6th, 1985.
Bonnie was employed for Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, Bay Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital of Saginaw and St. Luke’s Hospital of Saginaw.
Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Essexville for many years where she served as a Deaconess, Woman’s Sunday School leader; Sunday School teacher for children and Awana leader for many years. She is currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Lake City.
Bonnie did volunteer work at Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, Beacon of Hope Pregnancy Care Center and Literacy Council of Bay City all of Bay City. She currently was a member of Right to Life of Missaukee Wexford County.
Bonnie enjoyed needlepoint, reading and sewing. She loved Jesus most of all.
Bonnie is survived by her mother, Loretta Miller, sister, Norma DuVall, two brothers, Bruce (Jane) Miller and John (Patt) Miller all of Lake City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Jack Miller.
A time of visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 30, 2021 with 11:00 am services following at Calvary Baptist Church of Lake City with Pastor Brian Algie officiating.
Bonnie has been cremated per her request and will be laid to rest in the Star City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Calvary Baptist Church of Lake City or the Michigan Lupus Foundation.
