Bruce Allen Junites

Mesick, Michigan - Bruce Allen Junites Sr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 22, 2018 at his home in Mesick surrounded by his family after a long battle with complications from diabetes. He was 61. No matter what health struggles he faced, Bruce's faith helped him praise Jesus through his storms. He was heard many times saying "God is good all the time, all the time God is good".

Bruce was born on April 6, 1957, in Boon, Michigan to William and Elizabeth (Masunas) Junites. Bruce grew up on his parent's small farm in Boon, where his dad taught him how to fix just about anything. This is where his love for animals, especially cats, started. Bruce had numerous talents, amongst many were his green thumb, which came to him naturally from his mother. As he was growing up, he learned to draw and play music on his guitar, which he passed down to his son and grandchildren. Bruce entered into marriage with the former Sally K. Cronkhite on March 7, 1981 in Cadillac, Michigan. Bruce worked for the road commission, many years working for a family garbage business, and then later, maintenance in Mesick, until his health no longer allowed him to. He worked hard at any job that he was given. He was dedicated to do a good job at whatever he pursued. His sense of humor was known to all who knew him. Bruce was a loving husband, a great dad and grandpa, and an adored papa.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sally K. Junites; two children, Bruce (Karianne) Junites Jr. and Heather (Richard) Gray; three grandchildren, Daelynn Merritt, Clayton Junites and Tuffton Gray; four siblings, Helen Pond, Marjorie Mann, William Junites and Deloris Getty; numerous nieces and nephews; one very good friend, Trent Gaylord; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at noon with visitation held one hour prior at the Independent Bible Church in Cadillac. Interment will take place at Boon Cemetery.
