Carlene Marie (Duncan) Ellis

Carlene Marie Ellis, 74, of Houghton Lake, formerly of Flint, Michigan passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday March 1, 2023.

Carlene was born on May 23, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to Edward and Gladys (Russell) Duncan. She was married on August 21, 1970, in Flint, to Gerald Ellis. Carlene retired from General Motors. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Carlene always cared deeply for those who were closest to her. She also enjoyed traveling annually with her friends and playing in her bowling league.

Surviving Carlene Ellis are her loving husband of 52 years, Gerald  Ellis; Two Daughters, Kellie Ellis and Carolyn (Richard Vincent) Viera; Grandchildren, Richard Niswonger, Devin Viera, Kassie Blakley, and Madison Viera; and her Siblings, Kenneth (Marilyn) Duncan, Patti (Albert) Perrotta, Jimmy (Shari) Duncan, and Margaret (Shawn) Robinson. Carlene was preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Gladys Duncan; Son, Marc Koschmider; and Siblings, Matthew Duncan and Barbara Sposito.

Funeral Services for Carlene Marie Ellis will be conducted at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E Hill Rd, Grand Blanc Twp., MI 48439 on Wednesday March 8, 2023 at 1 pm. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday March 8, 2023 from 11 am until the time of the service.
