Cadillac, Michigan - Carol Ann Carpenter, of Lake passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was 77.
Carol Ann was born on June 10, 1941, in Almont, Michigan to Louis and Margaret (Schuneman) Vollen. She entered into marriage with Clifford Carpenter on July 22, 1972, in Romeo, Michigan. Carol Ann enjoyed spending time outdoors watching the birds. She liked to craft different projects, especially needle-point and putting together puzzles. Carol Ann spent her career working for Ford as a sewing machine operator for many years until her time of retirement. She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Carol is survived by her husband of 46 years and 11 months, Clifford Carpenter of Lake, MI; children, Lawerence (Pam) Carpenter of Attica, MI, Laurie Carpenter of Flint, MI, James (Kathy) Carpenter of Rochester Hills, MI, Sandra Morin of Lake, MI, Charles (Melody) Carpenter of Mussey, MI, Michael Lesko of Yale, MI and William (Mary) Carpenter of Union City, MI; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her special dog, Roo; sister-in-law, Dee (Ronald) Ham; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Margaret Vollen; a son, Richard Carpenter; a daughter-in-law, Annette Lesko; her parents-in-law, Charles and Clara (Bell) Carpenter; brothers, Louis Vollen, Fredrick Vollen and Marvin Vollen; sisters, Naomi LeCluyse, Elaine Blackmer and Linda Vollen; brothers-in-law, James Carpenter and Harold Mahaffy; sisters-in-law, Lou Mahaffy and Loretta Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
