Obituary

Carol Lynne James, age 69 of Lake City passed away August 17, 2022 at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Carol was born December 4, 1952 in Cadillac to Charles and Doris (Ryder) McGiness.

She was united in marriage to David Eugene James on June 28, 1980 in Lake City.

Carol graduated from Lake City High School in 1971 and after marriage to David became a Navy wife for sixteen years. She was a loving wife and doting mother to Charles. She adored all of her fur babies.

Carol loved animals, children, her flowers and reading. She enjoyed sending notes of encouragement to her friends and people who just needed a little smile.

Carol was a member of the Lake City First Presbyterian Church.

Carol is survived by her husband David E. and a son Charles E. of Cadillac, two brothers: Tom McGiness and Richard (Linda) McGiness both of Lake City and a sister Pat McGiness of Cadillac.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place and there are not any services being planned at this time.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Missaukee Humane Society.

Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
