Carolin "Squeaky" D. Canada, age 64, of Prudenville passed away on Monday April 12, 2021 at Mid Michigan Medical Center West Branch.
Carolin was born on October 27, 1956 in Ionia, Michigan to Bernard and Doris (Miller) Canada. She lived in the Prudenville area most of her life. Carolin enjoyed crocheting, gardening and fishing. She was a former life guard and swim instructor. Carolin loved her family dearly, she enjoyed getting together where she would cook and bake for the gatherings. She was known as the favorite Aunt. She was musically talented and very crafty.
Carolin is survived by her children; Christie (Paul) Noe of Tennessee and Donald (Jennifer Worthington) Burke of Owosso, four grandchildren, siblings; Ron (Dawn) Donaldson, Shellie (Kenny) St. John and Melody (Dan) Perry, half siblings; Jacquie Hennessy, Brian Canada, Michele Canada and Billy Canada and several nieces and nephews that she adored, step-siblings; Ron, Carolin, Laurie, Steve, Rob, Jamie and Brian Ostrander. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Country Dawn, brothers; Kenneth Canada and Bob Barnes, sister-in-law and best friend; Dawn, niece; Danielle Perry, nephew; Matthew Perry, life partner; Phillip Poole and step-father James Ostrander.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday April 19, 2021 at 2 pm at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 pm until the time of the service. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, masks covering the mouth and nose will be required, social distancing will be observed, and the funeral home capacity is limited to 25 people at any given time including the time of the service.
