Catherine D. (Marentette) Pray

Catherine D. Pray, age 96, of Prudenville, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Catherine was born on January 3, 1930, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Anthony and Elda (Reva) Marentette. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and later attended Assumption College, where she received her Bachelor's degree. Catherine was married on October 15, 1955, in Windsor, Canada, to Patrick Pray. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, a former owner and operator of two floral shops in Mt. Clemens, before moving to Prudenville and opening Better Home & Gardens Realty. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and loved to paint.  

Catherine is survived by her children,  Kevin (Marjorie) Pray, Robert (Koreen) Pray, John (Debra) Pray, and Laura (Michael) Berthiaume, ten grandchildren, Bobby, Tiffany, Brittany, Chelsea, Sarah, Dawn, Austin, Anthony, Megan, and Ryan, fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Patrick Pray, and brother Anthony Marentette.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 11 am. The family will greet friends on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel from 3 pm - 7 pm, with a rosary at 6:30 pm. Memorials in Catherine's name may be made to St. Vincent DePaul. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
