Christopher Allen Belton

Christopher Allen Belton, 62, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Friday April 3, 2026 at his home.

Christopher was born on May 22, 1963 in Takoma Park, Maryland to James and Barbara(Boggins) Belton. He grew up in the Washington DC area where he graduated from high School.  Christopher then served his country in the Army from 1982 thru 1984, and with the Army Reserves from 1984 to 1987.  He worked as a Manager for Popeye's Restaurants. Christopher moved from Midland to Houghton Lake in 2023. He attended the Houghton Lake Global Methodist Church. 

Surviving Mr. Belton are his son, Darren Belton; three daughters, Candace Gardner, Christina Belton, and Cierra Belton; and his love and soul mate, Kara Switzer. Christopher was preceded in death by his parents. 

Memorial  Services for Christopher Allen Belton will be conducted at 11:00am Fridayt May 22, 2026 from the Houghton Lake Global Methodist Church.  Memorial contributions in memory of Christopher are asked to be directed to the family for expenses.
