Christopher Allen Larive

Christopher Allen Larive Sr., of Cadillac, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Harrison, Michigan. He was 51

Chris was born on January 12, 1974 to Wayne and Karen (Culver) Larive in Royal Oak, Michigan. In early years, Chris received training as an EMT in the Houghton Lake area and enjoyed serving the community. Chris later spent his recent years working as a personal care aide at Pleasant Lake Lodge, a job he truly cherished. On March 3, 2024 he entered into marriage with the former Brittney McCrimmon in Cadillac. Chris enjoyed going for rides around on his motorcycle. He loved tattoos and looked forward to getting a new one as often as he could. Chris loved surrounding himself with his family and friends. He regularly referred to his kids as his "crew". Above all he cherished the time spent with his children and could almost always be found with at least one of them by his side. 
  
Christopher is survived by his wife, Brittney Larive; children, Jaxson Larive, Soren Larive, Codi Larive, Christopher Larive Jr., Daryl Larive and Rebecca Larive; grandchildren, Landon Larive, Jo'Leah Larive, Hollie Morgan, Gemma Larive, Weslee Larive and Harper Price; step-children, Starr Brown, Jaden Brown, Weston Leinaar, Chloe Leinaar, Bailey Leinaar, Ella Leinaar, Anastasia Johnson and Gunner Leinaar; father, Wayne Larive;  siblings, Daniel (Samantha) Larive, Angela (Kurt) Poreda, and Leah (Brian) Andress; numerous nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and many other loving family and friends.   He was preceded in death by his daughter, Hollie Larive; his mother, Karen Ann Larive; and a brother, Michael John Larive.
  
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 3 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Interment will take place next to his mother, Karen at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen, Michigan.    Memorial contributions may be directed to the Larive family towards the children, in care of Brittney Larive.
