Claude Myers Jr. Obituary

Claude Nathan Myers Jr, age 78 of Falmouth passed away December 8, 2025 at home.

He was born in Cadillac, Michigan on October 23, 1947 to Claude N. Myers Sr. and Nina (Burger) Myers.  He grew up in Butterfield Township.  Claude was a hard worker and worked with high grade veneer logs.  He could look at a standing tree and tell you what kind it was and how much money it was worth, before harvesting the trees.  He took great pride in his work and worked many nights in the woods with equipment lights and reflectors on the trees so he could harvest the trees of his choice.

Claude loved his horses and his hunting dogs, but most of all he loved his family.  He faithfully supported various causes including the political party of his choice.  If you need a helping hand, he would help you.

Claude is survived by three sons: Claude Nathan Myers III, Scott D. (Lisa) Myers Sr, and James V. Myers, and a daughter, Claudia Myers.  He is also survived by two step-daughters, Melinda Fetterhoff, and Lisa Fetterhoff, three brothers, George (Pamela) Myers, Paul (Mary) Myers and Marvin (Rosalie) Myers and a sister, Carlotta (Lowell) Shore.

Grandchildren - Scott D. Myers Jr. (Brianna) Myers, Sieara Myers (Josh) Meade and Cody L. Myers.  Chelsey (Troy) Cobb, Amber Worden, and Dakoda Kaman, Aryanna Myers, Ninea Myers, Victoria Myers, Olivia Myers and Evy Myers.

Great-grandchildren - Lyra Maeve Myers, Paisley Mae Meade, Rhett Allen Meade, Julian Hendrix, Safiyya Cobb, Amadi Cobb, Mekhi Cobb and Nicolai Cobb, Jace Worden and Owen Worden, Sophia Kaman, Kinsley Kaman and Jayne Shields.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Claude N. Myers Sr. and a brother, James Myers and a daughter, Suprena R. Myers.  Maternal grandparents, James V. Burger and Margaret Long Burger of Merritt and paternal grandparents, George N. Myers and Ellen Mae Cope Myers of Merritt.
