Dale M. Emerson

Cadillac, Michigan - Dale M. Emerson, of Cadillac passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025. He was 84.

He was born on March 29, 1941, in Watervliet, Michigan to Paul and Alice (Bauske) Emerson.

After graduating from Adrian College with a Bachelor's degree in Business, he was Commissioned and proudly served as a Captain in the United States Air Force for 11 years.

Dale married his first wife, Nancy Fitz, in 1964 and together they had two children Christine and Bryan.

Dale continued his public service as a paramedic in Wexford County from 1983 until 2005 when he retired.

In September, 2009, Dale married Carolyn on the first tee at the Cadillac Country Club.   

He was a proud member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Elks and the Cadillac Country Club.

Dale’s greatest passions in life were his family, his friends and the game of golf.

Dale is survived by his wife, Carolyn Emerson; daughter, Christine Emerson Landers; son, Bryan (Gonzo) Emerson; step-daughter, Kathy (Matt) Kissane; step-son, Jason (Holly) Brooks; grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Karina, Joseph, Bryanna, Dylan, Jacob, Joe and Owen; Great-grandchildren, Kilee, Brantley, Bryndle, Delilah, Selena, JJ, Teresa, Kimberly; and brother, David Emerson.

He was preceded in death by his first Wife, Nancy Emerson; father, Paul Stanley Emerson; mother, Alice Emerson; and brother, Donald Bruce Emerson.

Memorial Services for Dale Emerson will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Saturday June 28, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.. Memorials may be made to the Elks Scholarship Fund or the Cadillac Country Club.
