Dale Joseph Lyons

Dale Joseph Lyons, of Marion, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. He was 81.

Dale was born on March 20, 1942 to Elmer and Thressa (Phillips) Lyons in Garfield Township, Michigan. He proudly served in the United States Naval Reserves. On October 19, 2002 he entered into marriage with the former Carol Lemmon (Sturdavant) in Manton, Michigan. In his spare time, he could often be found out in his workshop crafting woodworking projects. He enjoyed working on computers and could build one from the ground up. He loved watching old western movies and listening to county music. Dale liked being outdoors, whether it was mowing his lawn or out taking pictures. He cherished the time spent with his wife and his family.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Carol S. Lyons of Marion; children, Thomas (Tina) Lyons Sr., Dalayne Crownover, Larry Sturdavant, Adell (Wayne) Helsel, Deanna (Randy) Barrett, Rose (Mark) Lemmon, and Lynn (Kirk) Edstrom; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Thressa Lyons; three sisters, Clarabelle Harmon, Betty Lou Greene, and Charlotte Foote; and two brothers, Ora Lyons and Delmer Lyons.
  
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a committal service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion.
