Daniel Joseph Corliss, of Mesick and formerly of the Cadillac area, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at his home. He was 27.
Daniel was born on August 10, 1996 to George and Debra (Zimmerman) Corliss in Cadillac, Michigan. He was a graduate of Cadillac Heritage Christian School, Class of 2015. On August 27th 2022, he entered into marriage with the former Deborah Joann Toppen at Temple Hill Baptist Church in Cadillac. Daniel worked alongside his wife, owning and operating their own cleaning business, Corliss Cleaning. He had a passion for photography and developed quite a talent for taking nature pictures. Daniel loved surrounding himself with his friends, and they shared many laughs together creating memories to last a lifetime. In his spare time, he could often be found playing online games with some of his closest friends, crushing home runs on the softball diamond, and smashing long-drives on the golf course (sometimes farther than his older brothers). He could often be found outside, and most enjoyed fishing for bass. Daniel liked to brighten his friends and family's day by sending a meme or funny text, some of which were actually funny. He loved every pet he came into contact with, especially dogs, and he had a special love for his fur babies, Harley, Addy and Zoey. Most of all Daniel loved reminiscing on memories about his parents who he loved dearly, and doting on the love of his life, Deb.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Corliss of Mesick; siblings, Adam (Christine) Corliss of McBain, Matt (Sara) Corliss of Cadillac, Abe (Jamie) Corliss of Spring Lake, and Hannah (Sam) Butler of Reed City; nieces and nephews, Jaden, Jager, Gage, Tanner, Teagan, Taelyn, Tucker, Caleb, Joshua, Malachi, Harlow and Holdyn; parents-in-law, Robert and Catherine Toppen; siblings-in-law, Elijah Toppen of South Boardman, Zebulon (Rachelle) Toppen of Lake City, and Jaella (Luke) Morse of Manton; nieces and nephews, Zach, Zayden, Riley, Norrie; and many other loving family and friends.
