Daniel John Kidder

Daniel John Kidder, of Gaylord, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. He was 70.

Dan was born on September 14, 1954 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Duane and Mary Jane (Goulas) Kidder. He was a graduate of Whitmore Lake High School, where he excelled in basketball. In his spare time, he could often be found outdoors going fishing, hunting, or golfing with friends. Dan looked forward to spending time in Florida, especially in the winters. He loved surrounding himself with his friends and family, and was often referred to as "Grandpa Donut" by his grandkids.
  
Daniel is survived by his loving life partner of 23 years, Bobette Friend; children, Travis (Anita) Kidder of Pittsford, NY and Brandon Kidder of Cape Coral, Florida; grandchildren, Isabella, Isaiah, Mikayla, and Mateo; siblings, Beth (Bill) Sanderson of Marquette, Mark (Cheryl) Kidder of Whitmore Lake, and Tony (Connie) Kidder of Whitmore Lake; numerous nieces and nephews; step-mother, Diane Kidder of Dexter; and many other loving family and friends. 
  
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Kidder and father, Duane Kidder.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at a later date.
