Manton - Darlene Ellen Grover, longtime resident of Manton passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at home. She was 90.
Darlene was born on May 9, 1934, in Walkerville, Michigan to Henry and Caroline (Vasicek) Brown. She made her living working with Avon Automotive in Manton for over 30 years. She enjoyed collecting dolls and often be found reading one of her romance novels or watching TV.
Darlene is survived by her children, Steve Slater, Archie Slater, and Josette Grover all of Manton; nieces and nephews, Cherryl, Vicki, Pauline, Karla, Chucky, Kenny, Richard, Karen, Christine, and Lee; as well as many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Slater; her siblings, Donald (Deloris) Brown, Marva Brown, Richard Brown and Darrell Brown; her husband, Joel W. Grover; and her parents.
A private family interment will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Manton at a later date in the spring. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.Hall-Holdship.com
