Darlene Marie Sutfin, age 66, of Prudenville, passed away on September 8, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on June 23, 1959, in Howell, Michigan, to Truman and Mary Louise (Marlow) Blevins. She was the devoted wife of the late Michael Sutfin. A woman of many talents, Darlene loved sewing, crafting with her grandchildren, fishing, and enjoying peaceful golf cart rides up north. She found joy in preparing the recipes passed down from her grandmother and mother, always showing her love through the meals she shared with those she cared about. She also had a lifelong love for animals, especially her dogs, who were constant companions and a great source of comfort and joy throughout her life. Darlene dedicated 38 years of her life as a registered nurse, compassionately caring for thousands of patients. Her commitment to others went beyond her profession-she poured her heart into caring for family, friends, and anyone in need. Her life was marked by quiet strength, deep faith in God, and unwavering love for those around her. Darlene will be remembered as a selfless mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness touched countless lives.
Darlene’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children, Christopher Blevins, Michael Shipman (fiancé Dezeray), and Jessica Shipman; her cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Damon, Cameron, Jason, Lily, Quinn, Maple, and Lennon; and four great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her loving siblings Terry (Hanukkah), Mike, Gary (Nicole), Lisa (Ed), and Aimee (Jordan). She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Michael.
