Cadillac - David Lee Fargo, 65, of Cadillac, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026. He was born on October 4, 1960, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Dell Henry Fargo and Patricia Ann (Sebastian) Mort.
David owned and ran his own tree removal service for 21 years. He enjoyed drag racing at Northern Michigan Dragway in Kaleva, working as a mechanic on his race car, fishing, mushroom hunting, and camping on the Manistee River. He was always outdoors cutting firewood and working. David had a big heart for all animals. He rescued horses, pigs, goats, ducks, turkeys, and dogs, just to name a few.
David is survived by his mother, Patricia (Jeffery) Mort; brothers, James (Nellie) Fargo, Paul Fargo; sisters, Linda (Tom) Martin and Paula (Derek) Howes; nephews, Austin Howes, Matthew (Bree #1) Martin, Justin (Bree #2) Martin, Jesse James Fargo, George Fargo, Mykle Eaton; nieces, Maria (Payton) Smith, Ina Mae Fargo, Jessica (Dan) Grames, Deborah Eaton; "adopted daughter", Nicole Perry; and many great nephews and nieces; girlfriend, Cindy Chandler; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dell Fargo; grandfather, Roy Sebastian; grandmother, Wilma Sebastian; and sister, Teresa Eaton.
A memorial service will be held at Independent Bible Church on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11am, family will meet guests at 10am. A private interment will take place at a later date.
